Career Counselor

Carolyn has 20 years of experience that spans the corporate and non-profit worlds, and she has held executive director and dean level positions in non-profit management and higher education. Carolyn has been the Director of the Office of Advising and Student Services at NYU, the Assistant Dean at NYU’s Stern School of Business, and Career Strategist in the Office of Career Services MBA Program at the Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland. Originally from the US, she has also lived in Europe and Asia. She holds BA and EdM degrees from Harvard University.


MBA Advisor

Dianna Magnani, our MBA Advisor, can help students identify MBA programs that are a good fit and maximize their chances of getting accepted to them.  Dianna enjoys working with people who are interested in pursuing careers in business and who want to get an MBA.  A former Bain & Company business strategy consultant, Dianna is the co-author of several Harvard Business School case studies, including PepsiCo’s Restaurants and Marks & Spencer.  She has a BA in Economics with high honors from Harvard and an MBA from MIT.


Pre-Medical Advisor

Jess Deutsch, EdM, LSW, has a decade of experience as an advisor specializing in the pre-health/pre-medical experience. From 2008-2012, she was Associate Director of Health Professions Advising at Princeton University, her alma mater. As a former on-campus advisor, she has supported hundreds of students through the complex process of preparing for a life in medicine. The daughter of a physician, and a NJ native, she has also worked internationally with students. Her approach to advising empowers students and connects them with the experiences and resources to put their best foot forward, maintaining excellence and balance along the way.  Jess holds an EdM from Harvard University and an MSW from Rutgers School of Social Work.

Law School Counselor

Susan K. Gurley is a lawyer and seasoned executive with experience in law school administration, international legal reform, access to justice-centered non-profits, and with the US government. Susan’s positions include serving as the Assistant Dean of International and Graduate Programs at the Georgetown University School of Law and she also held leadership roles at the United States Agency for International Development, the East West Management Institute, Equal Justice Works, and the Association of Corporate Travel Executives. Susan earned a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and is a member of the Virginia Bar.
